Trivia - but whatever. I am eagerly awaiting DVLA inspection, all paperwork pronounced okay, so should be a formality. I have just purchased an 'ageless plate', bit of an indulgance, but compared to the build cost it is a bargain, I think I spent more on P clips! Mind, I did use a lot of P Clips!
I would like to use the pressed aluminium plates, they look good, but not legal as mine will be 1986 vintage. It is also likely that folks forget they are running 'show plates' and accidentally use them on the road. Has anyone ever forgotten and got arrested? Or should I not worry too much?
Front plate position is a mystery also, rectangular on the lower part of the bumper covers the nice looking lower grill, perhaps bonnet sticker? I have stipes, so not so nice. Rectangular to one side??
