Front license plate mount removal - Chevy Colorado & GMC Canyon

I took mine off and threw it away years ago. I can not remember how it was on here. Two Bolts or two plastic snap in things probably. If it was difficult I would have remembered it.

We in Indiana require them to be on all Illinois vehicles so the cops know to stop and check for Visas when entering our state.

All kidding aside. If you take it off you can say "Well it was there the last time I washed my truck. Here is my registration. It must have fallen off. I'll have to go to the Illinois SOS and get another one". If they write a report on it, you can go home and accidentally find it in your driveway.

I have never heard of people getting a ticket for a missing front plate, but I also stay out of Illinois and the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia if at all possible. I'll ask my cousin the next time I see him if he ever wrote a ticket for a missing front plate. He is an Illinois State Trooper with over 25 years of service chasing cars down the Interstates.
