In WA it's enforced strictly since it is a state revenue source to help fund paying the college tuition for illlegal aliens to the University of WA. It is also among the toughest crimes our state and local police have to solve, especially from Starbucks or Rocket Donuts.
However, after a review of the statute lanaguage I trimed the plate down to just the numbers and the word washington showing, crimped it the middle a tad and it fits on the lower grille , secured by two plastic tie downs.
